I appreciate your discipline in journaling and your heart to share your prayer structure with others. I love the idea of using Jesus’ questions to interview our own hearts. I’m going to start applying this in my own prayer life.
I use a topical index card system that has a reflective question, a prayer and a next step to take. This has helped me stay consistent and cover all the things I want to pray for.
So many questions! One that strikes me every time I reread it is: "Do you want to be made well?" (John 5:6, NRSV) While there are experts who debate these things, the Church of St Anne in Jerusalem is probably next to the site where Christ asked this: https://ste-anne-jerusalem.org/en/bethesda/.
“Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” Your spirituality is very practical.
This article was more personal than most, and I wondered if it might have been too much information…. Glad to hear that resonated.
It gave me a lot to reflect on! Practical approaches! Very good!
I once had a very wise roommate that did this every day. It really inspired me to read scripture more.
Agreeing with you about how roommates with inspiring habits are a special blessing!

Thanks for sharing!
And thanks for mentioning your printable cards. After reading more of your work, I was able to find this link to the site where folks can check them out on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/sacredinterruptions/?etsrc=sdt&dd_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack.com%2F, accessed June 2026.
Thank you so much for supporting and sharing, Margaret!
Great idea to incorporate a prompt, verse, and application step. Thank you for mentioning this kind of tool!
I loved reading this and learning more about Jesus. He did ask a lot of questions.

What a perfect way to draw closer to God. I really like the photo of different journals. So many times, trusting God is the only answer. 🙏🏻
